Creating a request post
- A request post is where a creator explains their request work and accepts applications. Anyone can open a channel on POSTYPE and create a request post.
- You can create a new request post from [My menu] > [+] in Channel > [Request (1:1 work)].
- Or, you can create a new request post from [Studio] > [Create] > [Request (1:1 work)].
- You can create up to 10 request posts. Draft posts and scheduled posts also count toward this limit.
- You can edit anything on a request post at any time by going to [Studio] > [Request] > [Post] > [Manage posts] > āEditā, or by clicking [ā¦] at the top of the post body > āEdit postā.
Application options
- Clients can select detailed conditions for the requested work using application options. Set up an option and enter choices as option values. For example, for writing, under a āLengthā option you could enter option values such as ā1,000 charactersā, ā2,000 charactersā, ā3,000 charactersā.
- A request post must have at least one option.
- Clients can select only one value per option. For each option value, you can set a price between -500,000 KRW and 500,000 KRW in units of 10 KRW.
- The total price after selecting all options must always be at least 0 KRW.
- You can create up to 6 options and up to 6 values for each option.
Questions for the client
- By adding questions, you can ask the client for information needed to work on the request.
- Creators can check questions and answers in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], and clients can check them in [My menu] > [Request application history].
Usage rights for the work
- This section explains what rights the client has to the delivered work. Clients can check the usage rights for each work item in [Request application history] > [Application].
- Even if the usage rights are edited later, the application will continue to display the usage rights as of the time the client applied.
Tags
- A request post must include at least one required tag (writing, illustration, design, tarot, coaching, other).
- In addition to the required tags, you can add up to 4 more tags to describe the post.Ā
Publish time
- You can schedule the time when the request post will be published.
- A request post starts accepting applications as soon as it is published.
- You can change the intake status of a request post at any time in [Studio] > [Request] > [Post].
Estimated work duration
- Write down how long one piece of work is expected to take so clients can review it before they apply.
- The actual deadline is set separately for each application and may differ from the estimated work duration.
- The estimated work duration can be set from a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of 90 days.
Editing a post
- You can edit a published post by clicking [ā¦] at the top right of the post body > [Edit post], or by going to [Studio] > [Request] > [Post] > [Manage posts] and clicking āEditā.
- When you edit and re-publish a post, subscribers will not receive a notification.
- For applications received before you re-publish an edited post, the application options, questions for the client, and usage rights for the work will remain as they were before the edit.
Ā
Starting/pausing intake
- A request post starts accepting applications as soon as it is published.
- You can change a request postās intake status at any time in [Studio] > [Request] > [Post] by clicking the āStart intakeā or āPause intakeā button.
- A published request post can have one of the three statuses below.
- Accepting applications: New applications can be submitted.
- Applications closed: Remaining application slots have reached 0, so no new applications can be submitted. If the remaining application slots increase, new applications can be accepted again.
- Intake paused: The creator clicked āPause intakeā, so no new applications can be submitted. Changes to the remaining application slots will not affect this status.
Ā
Managing remaining application slots
- Remaining application slots are the total number of applications that can be accepted on that channel.
- Each time an application is submitted, one slot is consumed. One slot is restored when the creator declines an application or when an in-progress request is marked as completed or refunded.
- In [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], you can use the -/+ buttons to set the remaining application slots from 0 to 40.
- When remaining application slots reach 0, all published request posts will change to the āApplications closedā status.
- When the remaining application slots go from 0 to 1, channel subscribers will receive a notification.
- If you no longer want to accept new applications while you still have ongoing work, you can go to [Studio] > [Request] > [Post] and click the āPause intakeā button to stop intake in advance.
Ā
Approving/declining applications
- You can review submitted applications under [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management].
- In [Application] > [Timeline], you can exchange brief messages with the client using āLeave a messageā.
- If you decide to proceed with the work after reviewing an application, click āAccept applicationā to start the work. At this time, you must set a deadline.
- The deadline can be set from a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of 90 days from the date of acceptance. The deadline is 23:59:59 on the selected date.
- The payment will not be transferred to the creator until the request is marked as āCompleted and confirmedā.
- If there is an issue with the application or you decide not to proceed, you can click āDecline applicationā to reject the work. Declined applications will move to the āApplication canceledā status, and the payment will be refunded to the client.
Ā
Working on a request
- As soon as you accept an application, its status changes to āIn progressā.
- In [Application] > [Timeline], you can discuss progress with the client using āLeave a messageā. Both the client and the creator can write up to 10,000 characters per message and upload files up to 100MB.
- Files uploaded via āLeave a messageā expire at midnight 30 days after the upload time. Once expired, files can no longer be downloaded.
Ā
Requesting a deadline change
- Creators can request a deadline change from [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management] by clicking the āRequest changeā button next to the deadline, or from [Application] > [Application details] > āRequest deadline changeā.
- You can change the deadline multiple times, but the new deadline must be within 90 days from the date of acceptance.
- Clients can accept or decline the deadline change in [My menu] > [Request application history] > [Application].
- If the client accepts the change request before the original deadline, the deadline will be updated. You can then deliver the work by the new deadline and receive the payment.
- If the client does not respond to the deadline change request by the original deadline or declines the request, the original deadline remains in effect. If you do not deliver the work by the original deadline, the payment will be refunded 100% to the client.
Ā
Delivering/canceling delivery of work files
- In [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], click the āDeliver work filesā button to send the work files.
- You can deliver up to 1GB of files via āDeliver work filesā. Up to 10 files can be attached, and clients can continue to download the delivered files without any expiration period.
- Once you deliver the work files, the status changes to āWork completedā and will wait for the clientās āCompleted and confirmedā.
- In [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], click the āCancel deliveryā button to cancel delivery and send new work files. When you cancel delivery, the status changes back to āIn progressā.
- Even if you have previously delivered work files via āDeliver work filesā, if the status remains āIn progressā at the deadline, the payment will automatically be refunded to the client. Please be careful.
Ā
Stopping a request and issuing a refund (creator)
- Creators can stop work on a request in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management] > [Application] by clicking āIssue refundā. For paid requests, the payment will be refunded to the client. This action cannot be undone.
- The status will change to āRefund completedā, and you will no longer be able to exchange messages with the client in [Application] > [Timeline].
- Depending on the payment provider, it may take 2ā3 business days for the refunded amount to be deposited back to the client.
- Refunds are only possible when the status is āIn progressā or āWork completedā. After the status changes to āCompleted and confirmedā, no refunds can be issued for any reason.
-
If there is a dispute between the creator and the client, our Terms of Service prioritize resolving the issue directly between the parties. However, if direct negotiation is difficult and mediation is needed, you can request mediation through the Request Dispute Mediation Center. Please note that mediation may not be available in the following cases:
- When the client has declined a deadline change request
Ā
Receiving payment for a request
- When the client checks the delivered work and clicks the āCompleted and confirmedā button, or if 7 days pass without a response, the status will automatically change to āCompleted and confirmedā and the payment will be added to your request earnings.
- If you turn on automatic withdrawals, a withdrawal application will automatically be submitted on the 1st of every month, and the funds will be deposited on the 10th. For details, see Withdrawal of earnings at a glance.
- Anyone can send support to a request post. Supported amounts are counted as āPost earningsā, not as request earnings.
Ā
Managing reviews
- Clients can leave a review after confirming completion of the work. You will receive a notification when a review is posted.
- Reviews show the actual time spent on the work (from the time of acceptance to the time of completion).
Linking a result post
- Creators can publish the finished work to their channel, then go to the review list at the bottom of the request post and click More [ā¦] > [Link result post] to attach the post URL to the review.
- When a post is linked to a review, visitors who view the review can also view the result post. However, if the linked post is mature content and the visitor does not have permission to view mature content, the result post will not be shown.
- For [Link result post] on each review, you can only link POSTYPE post URLs from the same channel where the review was posted.
- You can unlink a post at any time or link a different post.
- When a post is linked to a review, the reviewer will receive a notification.
Hiding a review
- In the review list at the bottom of the request post, click [ā¦] > [Hide review] to hide a review.
- Hidden reviews are shown as āThis review is hiddenā to both creators and visitors. The content will still be visible to the reviewer.
- Hiding a review does not send a notification to the reviewer. You can unhide or hide the review again at any time.
- There is no limit to the number of reviews you can hide or how many times you can hide them.
