Submitting a request
If the request post is in “Open for submissions” status and the remaining number of submissions is 1 or more, you can click the “Submit request” button and fill out the application form.
Request details
You can check the options you selected and the final payment amount. No additional amount will be charged other than the amount paid when you submit the request, so don’t worry.
The deadline is set by the creator to the date they want at the time they accept the request. Since there is no separate step where the client approves the deadline, if you must have a specific date, we recommend contacting the creator first. Creators can set the deadline to a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 90 days from the acceptance date.
Answering questions
- You can check and answer the questions written by the creator.
- You can write answers of up to 1,000 characters and attach files.
Payment information
- For paid work, enter the payment information that will be used to pay the fee.
- Payment is processed when the request is submitted.
- If the creator rejects the request or does not respond within 72 hours, the request will automatically change to “Request canceled” status and the payment will be refunded.
Checking the progress of your request
After you complete your submission, you can check the application form and its progress via [My menu] > [Request history].
- From [Application] > [Timeline], you can use “Leave message” to discuss the progress with the client. Both the client and the creator can write up to 10,000 characters per message and upload files up to 100MB.
- Files uploaded via “Leave message” expire at midnight 30 days after upload. Once a file expires, it can no longer be downloaded.
Request status
- Request submitted: The client has submitted the request and it is waiting for the creator’s acceptance.
- Request canceled: The payment has been refunded due to the creator not responding, rejecting the request, or the client canceling the request.
- In progress: The creator has accepted the request and has not yet delivered the work.
- Work delivered: The creator has delivered the completed work.
- Confirmed: The client has checked the work and clicked the “Confirm” button, or the status automatically changes to “Confirmed” after 7 days with no response. Work in Confirmed status cannot be refunded for any reason.
- Refund completed: The fee was automatically refunded because the work was not delivered by the deadline, or the creator manually processed a refund. Depending on the payment provider’s policy, it may take 2–3 business days for the card authorization to be canceled.
Accepting or rejecting a deadline change request
- When the creator requests a deadline change, a “Check deadline change” button appears in the client’s [My menu] > [Request history] > [Application] > [Timeline]. The client can accept or reject the new deadline.
- If the client accepts the change before the original deadline, the deadline will be updated.
- If the client does not respond to the deadline change request by the original deadline, or rejects it, the original deadline is kept. If the work is not delivered by the original deadline, 100% of the payment will be refunded to the client.
- The deadline can be changed multiple times, but the new date must be within 90 days from the acceptance date.
Checking your request deliverables
- Once the creator delivers the work, you can download and check it from [My menu] > [Request history] > [Application].
- After checking the work, click the “Confirm” button to complete the request. The creator can only receive their earnings after the work is in “Confirmed” status.
- If you do not click the “Confirm” button, the work will automatically be marked as confirmed after 7 days.
- Once you have confirmed the work, you cannot get a refund for any reason, and you can no longer use “Leave message.”
- After the work status changes to “Confirmed,” you can leave a review.
Leaving a review for a request
- When the work is “Confirmed,” you can click the “Write review” button in [My menu] > [Request history] > [Application] to leave a review.
- You can view your review at [My menu] > [Request history] > [Application] > [Timeline] or from the more […] menu at the bottom of the post, and you can edit or delete it at any time.
- Creators can link a deliverable post to a review. When a deliverable post is linked to your review, you will receive a notification. If you think the creator linked something other than the actual work you received, please contact the creator.
- If you have purchased work multiple times from the same post, a “Repurchase” badge will appear on your review.
Supporting a request
- You can support a request post by clicking the “Support” button in [My menu] > [Request history] > [Application] or by clicking the “Support this request” button on the creator’s request post.
- When you give support to a request post, a “Support” badge and the support amount will appear on your review. Support amounts for the same post are added up.
- Even if you are not the client, you can still support a request post.
Stopping a request and getting a refund (client)
- After submitting your application and before the creator accepts it, you can cancel the request yourself and submit a new one. If you cancel the request, the payment will be refunded.
- Once the creator accepts the request and work has begun, only the creator can stop the work by choosing “Refund.” If the creator does not agree to issue a refund, the work cannot be stopped or refunded.
- If there is a dispute between the creator and the client, the Terms of Use prioritize resolving the matter directly between the parties. However, if it is difficult to reach an agreement and dispute mediation is needed, you can request mediation through the Request Dispute Resolution Center.
- Submitting a request is a way to commission the creator for work you want and is different from purchasing content, so a certain level of content is not guaranteed. Please note that refunds and dispute mediation are not provided for reasons such as the following, so be sure to check before submitting a request:
- You may not be satisfied with the final work, or it may differ from the samples shown in advance.
- Requests for revisions or other changes to the work during the process may not be accepted.
- The deadline is set directly by the creator and may differ from the date you and the creator agreed on beforehand.
- Refunds are only possible when the request status is “In progress” or “Work delivered.” After the work is “Confirmed,” you cannot get a refund for any reason.
- Depending on the payment provider, it may take 2–5 business days for the refunded payment to be credited back to the client.
- If you used a discount coupon for payment, the same coupon will be reissued immediately even if the request is rejected or refunded.
