Creating a request post
- A request post is a post where a creator explains their request work and accepts applications. Anyone can open a channel on POSTYPE and create request posts.
- You can create a new request post via [My Menu] > [+] on your channel > [Request (1:1 work)].
- Or, go to [Studio] > [Create] > [Request (1:1 work)] to create a new request post.
- You can create up to 10 request posts. Draft posts and scheduled posts also count toward this limit.
- You can edit anything in a request post at any time via [Studio] > [Request] > [Posts] > [Manage posts] > “Edit,” or by clicking […] at the top of the post body > “Edit post.”
Application options
- Applicants can select detailed conditions for the work they’re requesting through application options. Set an option, then enter choices as option values. For example, for writing work, you might create a “Length” option and add option values like “1,000 characters,” “2,000 characters,” “3,000 characters.”
- Each request post must have at least one option.
- Applicants can select only one option value per option. You can set a price for each option value from -500,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW in 10 KRW increments.
- The total price after selecting all options must always be at least 0 KRW.
- You can create up to 6 options and up to 6 option values per option.
Questions for applicants
- If you add questions, you can ask applicants for information needed to work on the request.
- Creators can view questions and answers in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], and applicants can check them in [My Menu] > [Request application history].
Usage rights for work
- This section explains what rights the applicant has to the finished work. Applicants can see usage rights for each work in [Request application history] > [Application].
- Even if you update usage rights later, the application will continue to display the usage rights that were in effect when the application was submitted.
Tags
- A request post must include at least one required tag (Writing, Illustration, Design, Tarot, Coaching, Other).
- In addition to required tags, you can add up to 4 tags that describe the post.
Schedule publication time
- You can set a time to publish your request post.
- Your request post starts accepting applications as soon as it’s published.
- You can change the application status of a request post at any time in [Studio] > [Request] > [Posts].
Estimated work period
- Write down how long one work is expected to take so applicants can review this before applying.
- The actual deadline is set separately for each application and may differ from the estimated work period.
- You can set the estimated work period from a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of 90 days.
Editing posts
- You can edit a published post by clicking […] at the top right of the post body > [Edit post], or via [Studio] > [Request] > [Posts] > [Manage posts] > “Edit.”
- Resubmitting a post after editing it will not send notifications to subscribers.
- For applications received before you edit and republish the post, application options, questions for applicants, and usage rights for work will remain as they were before the edit.
Starting/stopping applications
- A request post starts accepting applications as soon as it’s published.
- You can change the application status of a request post at any time in [Studio] > [Request] > [Posts] by clicking the “Start accepting” or “Stop accepting” button.
- A published request post can have one of the three statuses below:
- Accepting: New applications can be received.
- Closed: Remaining application slots have reached 0, so no new applications can be received. If remaining application slots increase again, you can receive new applications.
- Stopped: The creator clicked “Stop accepting,” so no new applications can be received. Changes to remaining application slots do not affect this.
Managing remaining application slots
- Remaining application slots are the total number of applications that can be accepted on that channel.
- Each time one application is received, one slot is used. One slot is restored when the creator declines an application, or when a work in progress changes to “Confirmed” or “Refund completed.”
- In [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], you can set remaining application slots from 0 to 40 using the -/+ buttons.
- If remaining application slots reach 0, all published request posts will change to “Closed.”
- When remaining application slots increase from 0 to 1, subscribers to the channel will receive a notification.
- If you no longer want to accept new applications while there are ongoing works, you can stop applications in advance by clicking the “Stop accepting” button in [Studio] > [Request] > [Posts].
Approving/declining applications
- You can review received applications in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management].
- In [Application] > [Timeline], you can use “Leave a message” to have brief conversations with the applicant.
- After reviewing an application, if you decide to proceed, click “Accept application” to start the work. At this point, you must set a deadline.
- You can set the deadline between 1 and 90 days from the date you accept the application. The deadline is 23:59:59 on the selected date.
- The payout will not be transferred to the creator until the work status becomes “Confirmed.”
- If there’s an issue with the application or you decide not to proceed, click “Decline application” to reject it. Declined applications will change to “Application canceled,” and the payout will be refunded to the applicant.
Working on the request
- Once you accept an application, its status immediately changes to “In progress.”
- In [Application] > [Timeline], you can use “Leave a message” to discuss progress with the applicant. Both the applicant and creator can write up to 10,000 characters per message and upload files up to 100MB.
- Files uploaded via “Leave a message” will expire at midnight 30 days after the upload time. Once a file expires, it can no longer be downloaded.
Requesting a deadline change
- Creators can request a deadline change via the “Request change” button next to the deadline in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management], or in [Application] > [Application details] > “Request deadline change.”
- You can request deadline changes multiple times, but the new deadline must be within 90 days from the date you accepted the application.
- Applicants can accept or decline deadline changes in [My Menu] > [Request application history] > [Application].
- If the applicant accepts the change request before the original deadline, the deadline will be updated. If you deliver the work by the new deadline, you can receive the payout.
- If the applicant doesn’t respond to the deadline change request by the original deadline, or declines the request, the original deadline remains. If you don’t deliver the work by the original deadline, 100% of the payout will be refunded to the applicant.
Delivering/canceling delivery of work
- You can deliver work files by clicking the “Deliver work” button in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management].
- You can deliver up to 1GB of files via “Deliver work.” You can attach up to 10 files, and applicants can keep downloading the delivered files indefinitely with no separate expiration date.
- Once you deliver the work, the status changes to “Work completed,” and it will be waiting for the applicant’s “Confirmed.”
- You can cancel delivery and upload new work by clicking the “Cancel delivery” button in [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management]. When you cancel delivery, the status changes back to “In progress.”
- Even if you previously delivered work via “Deliver work,” if the status is still “In progress” when the deadline passes, the payout will automatically be refunded to the applicant, so please be careful.
Stopping request work and issuing a refund (creator)
- Creators can stop work by going to [Studio] > [Request] > [Application management] > [Application] and clicking “Refund.” For paid work, the payout will be refunded to the applicant. This action cannot be undone.
- The status will change to “Refund completed,” and you will no longer be able to exchange messages with the applicant in [Application] > [Timeline].
- Depending on the payment provider, it may take 2–3 business days for the refunded payout to be deposited back to the applicant.
- Refunds are only possible when the status is “In progress” or “Work completed.” Once the status becomes “Confirmed,” no refunds can be made for any reason.
-
If there is a dispute between the creator and the applicant, our terms of use prioritize resolving it directly between the parties. However, if it is difficult to reach an agreement and dispute mediation is needed, you can request mediation through the Request Dispute Mediation Center. Note that mediation may not be possible for the reasons below:
- The applicant declined a deadline change request
Receiving request payouts
- When the applicant checks the delivered work and clicks the “Confirmed” button, or automatically after 7 days without a response, the status changes to “Confirmed” and the payout is added to your request earnings.
- If you turn on automatic withdrawals, a withdrawal request will be submitted automatically on the 1st of every month, and the payout will be deposited on the 10th. For details, see Payouts at a glance.
- Anyone can send sponsorship to a request post. Sponsored amounts are counted as “post earnings,” not as request earnings.
Managing work reviews
- Applicants can leave a review after confirming the work. You’ll receive a notification when a review is posted.
- The review will display the actual time spent on the work (from the time you accepted the application to the time the work was completed).
Linking a finished-work post
- Creators can publish the finished work to their channel and link the post URL to a review by going to the review list at the bottom of the request post body, clicking More […] > [Link finished-work post].
- When a post is linked to a review, visitors who view the review can also see the finished-work post. However, if the linked post is adult content and the visitor does not have permission to view adult content, the finished-work post will not be displayed.
- Each review’s [Link finished-work post] can only be linked to a POSTYPE post URL from the same channel where the review was posted.
- You can unlink a post at any time or link a different post.
- When a post is linked to a review, the reviewer will receive a notification.
Making reviews private
- You can make a review private from the review list at the bottom of the request post body by clicking […] > [Make review private].
- Private reviews will be displayed as “This review is private” to both the creator and visitors. The review content will still be visible to the reviewer.
- Reviewers will not receive a notification when their review is made private. You can cancel or reapply privacy at any time.
- There is no limit to the number of reviews you can make private or how many times you can change their status.
