Character Talk Partner Policy

The Character Talk Partner program lets creators active on Character Talk receive earnings. When you complete partner missions, you can receive a certain percentage of the charged amount from paid conversations as revenue.

Partner eligibility

Character Talk Partner eligibility is granted on a channel basis. Once you complete the mission, the commission rate for that tier is applied immediately and your earnings calculation begins.

Partner tiers and requirements

The Character Talk Partner program consists of 3 tiers, from Tier 1 to Tier 3. The higher the tier, the higher your revenue share.

Metric aggregation criteria

These are the metric aggregation criteria used for partner missions and earnings calculation.

• Number of conversations: Counted based on user message count. Any usage generated by your own chats is excluded from both missions and earnings.

• Number of users: Counted based on unique users (duplicates removed). Even if the same user talks with 2 characters, they are counted as 1 user.

• Number of subscribers: Based on the current number of subscribers at that point in time.

• Number of characters: Only public characters are included.

• Aggregation period: Metrics are aggregated based on the last 1 year (365 days).

Guidelines for fan-made characters/stories

• Conversations generated by fan-made characters/stories are excluded from sales and earnings aggregation.

• Fan-made characters/stories are also not included in partner mission aggregation.

Tier changes and termination

Tier downgrade

• If you no longer meet the requirements for your current tier, your tier will be automatically downgraded.

Termination of eligibility

• If you violate the Character Talk Partner policy, your partner eligibility may be terminated. From the time of termination, no further earnings will accumulate.

• The following cases may be considered policy violations:

  • Maliciously placing fan-made works in another category to generate revenue

  • Using abusive methods to complete missions

  • Inducing users to move to other platforms or taking any action that can negatively impact POSTYPE

Earnings aggregation

Aggregation scope

• Usage generated by chats you send yourself is excluded from earnings aggregation.

• Conversations generated from fan-made works are excluded from sales and earnings aggregation.

Refunds and cancellations

• If a payment is refunded or canceled, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the earnings for that month.

• If a refund occurs after earnings have already been paid out, the amount will be deducted from your remaining withdrawable balance.

Aggregation timing

• Earnings are aggregated every hour. If there are decimal points, they are rounded up in the final total points.

• Aggregated data may be delayed or include discrepancies by up to 24–48 hours.

Earnings withdrawal

Character Talk earnings use a revenue-sharing model where POSTYPE shares generated earnings with creators, unlike earnings from posts, requests, support, and so on. Accordingly, the following procedures apply depending on the creator type.

• Individual creator: When earnings are paid, withholding tax is deducted in accordance with relevant laws, so you receive the post-tax amount.

• Business creator: For revenue sharing, the creator must directly issue a tax invoice to POSTYPE for settlement to be processed.

Earnings payout schedule

• Earnings are paid on the 10th of the following month, same as existing POSTYPE earnings.

Minimum payout amount

• Your withdrawable balance must be at least 10,000P to receive a payout. Earnings from posts, requests, support, etc. are combined with Character Talk earnings.

Income tax

• Upon payout, a total of 3.3% (3% income tax + 0.3% local income tax) is withheld from your final Character Talk earnings.

• For business creators, a tax invoice is reverse-issued on the first business day of every month. You must approve the tax invoice within 5 business days for Character Talk earnings withdrawals to be processed normally.

Tax invoice approval guide for business creators

Business creators receive reverse-issued tax invoices for their Character Talk earnings. If you do not approve them within the deadline, your Character Talk earnings will not be withdrawn, so please be sure to check.

• Tax invoices are issued on the first business day of every month.

• Please approve them within 5 business days from the date of issue.

  • A certified digital certificate is required to approve reverse-issued tax invoices.

• If not approved within the deadline, the Character Talk earnings for that month will be excluded from withdrawal.

  • If your other earnings (posts, requests, support, etc.) excluding Character Talk earnings are at least 10,000P, only that amount will be withdrawn first, and the Character Talk earnings will be carried over as withdrawable balance.

  • If your other earnings excluding Character Talk earnings are less than 10,000P, no payout will be made for that month, and the entire amount will be restored as withdrawable balance.

Automatic earnings withdrawal

• Character Talk earnings are withdrawn only when automatic earnings withdrawal is enabled.

Checking your earnings history

Earnings history

You can check your Character Talk earnings under [Earnings] > [Earnings history].

• The “All” tab shows Character Talk earnings together with other earnings.

• The “Character Talk” tab lets you check only Character Talk earnings separately.
