CharacterTalk Partner Policy

The CharacterTalk Partner Program allows creators who are active on CharacterTalk to receive earnings. When you complete partner missions, you can receive a certain percentage of the billed amount from paid conversations as revenue. 

Partner eligibility

CharacterTalk Partner eligibility is granted on a channel basis. Once you complete a mission, the commission rate for that tier is applied immediately and revenue calculation begins.

Partner tiers and requirements

The CharacterTalk Partner Program consists of Tiers 1 to 3. The higher the tier, the higher the revenue share you can receive.

Metric aggregation criteria

These are the metric aggregation criteria used for partner missions and revenue calculation.

• Number of conversations: Counted based on the number of user messages. Usage generated by your own chatting is excluded from both missions and revenue.

• Number of users: Counted by unique users (duplicates removed). Even if the same user talks to 2 characters, they are counted as 1 user.

• Number of subscribers: Based on the current number of subscribers.

• Number of characters: Only public characters are included.

• Aggregation period: Calculated based on the most recent 1 year (365 days).

Information on fan-made characters/stories

• Conversations generated from fan-made characters/stories are excluded from sales and revenue aggregation.

• Fan-made characters/stories are also not included in partner mission aggregation.

Tier changes and termination

Tier downgrade

• If you no longer meet the requirements for your current tier, you will automatically be downgraded.

Termination of eligibility

• If you violate the CharacterTalk Partner Policy, your partner eligibility may be terminated. Earnings will no longer accumulate from the time of termination.

• The following cases may be considered policy violations:

  • Maliciously assigning fan-made works to a different category to generate revenue

  • Completing missions through abusive or fraudulent behavior

  • Acts that may negatively impact POSTYPE, such as inducing users to use other platforms

Revenue aggregation

Aggregation scope

• Usage generated by your own chatting is excluded from revenue aggregation.

• Conversations generated from fan-made works are excluded from sales and revenue aggregation.

Refunds and cancellations

• If a payment is refunded or canceled, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the revenue for the month to which it belongs.

• If a refund occurs after revenue has already been paid out, the amount will be deducted from your remaining withdrawable balance.

Aggregation timing

• Revenue is aggregated every hour. If a decimal occurs, it is rounded up in the final total points.

• There may be delays or discrepancies of up to 24–48 hours in the aggregated data.

Withdrawing revenue

CharacterTalk revenue is distributed to creators by POSTYPE, and this revenue sharing scheme differs from earnings from posts, requests, and sponsorship. As a result, the following procedures are required depending on the creator type.

• Individual creator: Because withholding tax must be deducted from payouts under applicable laws, you will receive the amount after tax.

• Business creator: To settle the revenue share, the creator must directly issue a tax invoice to POSTYPE.

Payout schedule

• Payouts are made on the 10th of the following month, the same as other POSTYPE revenue.

Minimum payout amount

• Your withdrawable balance must be at least 10,000P to receive a payout. Revenue from posts, requests, sponsorship, and other sources is combined with CharacterTalk revenue.

Income tax

• When paid out, 3% income tax + 0.3% local income tax (total 3.3%) is withheld from your final CharacterTalk revenue.

• For business creators, a tax invoice is reverse-issued on the first business day of each month. You must approve the tax invoice within 5 business days for CharacterTalk revenue payouts to proceed normally.

Tax invoice approval for business creators

Business creators receive reverse-issued tax invoices for their CharacterTalk revenue. If you do not approve them within the deadline, your CharacterTalk revenue will not be paid out, so please be sure to check.

• Tax invoices are issued on the first business day of every month.

• Please approve them within 5 business days from the issue date.

  • A certified digital certificate is required to approve a reverse-issued tax invoice.

• If you do not approve within the deadline, CharacterTalk revenue for that month will be excluded from the payout.

  • If your revenue excluding CharacterTalk (posts, requests, sponsorship, etc.) is 10,000P or more, only that amount will be paid out first, and your CharacterTalk revenue will be carried over as withdrawable balance.

  • If your revenue excluding CharacterTalk is less than 10,000P, no payout will be made for that month, and the full amount will be restored as withdrawable balance.

Automatic revenue payout

• CharacterTalk revenue is paid out only when automatic payout is enabled.

Checking your revenue history

Revenue history

You can check your CharacterTalk revenue under [Revenue] > [Revenue history].

• The ‘All’ tab shows CharacterTalk revenue together with other revenue.

• The ‘CharacterTalk’ tab shows only CharacterTalk revenue separately.
