Guide to creating a Character Talk character

In POSTYPE Character Talk, you can create an AI character with its own persona. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you create an engaging character.

Step 1: Set basic character information

This step determines the first impression of your character that users will see on the Explore page.

• Name: Set the character’s name.

• Profile image: Upload the image that will serve as the character’s face.

• One-line intro: Write a short phrase that best expresses the character’s identity.

Step 2: Write an intro and sample dialogues

This step is important for teaching how the character greets users and how it talks.

• Intro (first line): Write the first line the character will say when a chat room opens.

  • Tip: If you enter {{user}}, it will be automatically replaced with the user’s set name.

  • Tip: Along with the line, you can add directions or situational cues like *smiles shyly* to enhance immersion.

• Sample dialogues: Write examples of how the character would actually talk.

  • The AI learns the character’s speaking style, tone, and reaction patterns from these examples. The more specific the examples, the more vivid the character will feel.

Step 3: Set the prompt (personality and worldbuilding)

This step is for defining the character’s personality, values, and worldbuilding.

• Write the prompt: Freely describe the character’s personality, appearance, backstory, relationship with the user, and more. (Up to 3,000 characters)

• Auto-complete: Use the feature that suggests an appropriate prompt based on the intro and examples you wrote earlier.

Step 4: Extra features (situational images and passwords)

You can set up “hidden elements” that make conversations more interesting.

• Situational images (illustration unlocks): Register special images that will be shown to users once certain conditions are met.

  • Unlock hint: When the image is locked, write a hint phrase that is shown to users to spark their curiosity.

• Password keywords: Set specific words (passwords) so that when a user says them, the character responds in a predetermined way (lines, actions). This can work like an Easter egg for hidden fun.

Step 5: Detailed info and visibility settings

This is the final review step before you publish your character.

• Target and category: Set the target audience to women-oriented/men-oriented/all, and choose genres such as romance/fantasy/BL/GL.

• Tags: Enter keywords that help with search.

• User age group: If your character includes adult-only content, you must set it to “adult users.”

• Fan creation: If the character is a secondary creation based on an existing work, you must agree to the fan creation guidelines.
