Guide to creating a Character Talk story In Story mode on POSTYPE Character Talk, you can create scenario-style roleplays that blend multiple characters and a shared universe. Unlike creating a single character, multiple characters appear together on the stage of a shared world. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you create an engaging story.
 

Step 1: Set basic information (required)

This step determines the first impression of your story that users will see on the Explore page.

• Story image: Upload an image that represents your story. In addition to JPG and PNG, you can also upload animated GIF files (up to 10MB). In environments where image playback is disabled, only the first frame of the GIF will be shown as a still image. Character images and ending images do not support GIF.
• Title: Write a title that clearly expresses the identity of your story. (Up to 30 chars)
• One-line summary: Write a short phrase that briefly summarizes your story. (Up to 80 chars)
  • Tip: If you enter {{user}}, it will automatically be converted into the name set by the user.

Step 2: Set universe and characters (required)

This is the core step where you create the universe that will serve as the stage of your story and the characters who live and act within it.

• Universe prompt: Describe the settings that run through the entire story, such as the background, time period, mood, and rules.
• Characters: You can add up to 10 characters. For each character, write a name (up to 10 chars) and a prompt that includes their personality, appearance, relationships, and more.
  • Note: The combined total number of chars for the universe prompt and all character prompts can be up to 5,000 chars. The more characters you have, the more you should carefully distribute the length for each one.

Step 3: Write example scenarios (required)

This step sets up the opening scene that greets the user when the story begins and teaches the characters’ speaking styles.

• Write the intro: In the chat editor on the right, select the speaker from among narration (stage directions), the user, and each character, then stack messages in order to build the first scene. (Up to 1,000 chars in total)
  • Tip: If you describe the situation with narration and mix in each character’s lines, you can increase immersion in scenes where multiple characters appear together.
• Creator chat guide: You can write guidance on how you want the conversation to flow.
• Recommended chat model & recommended replies: You can select a recommended chat model that best fits this story and provide recommended replies that users can refer to.

Step 4: Set stats (required)

This step adds depth to relationships and narrative by setting values that change as the conversation progresses.

• Assign stats: You can set up to 3 stats per character, such as Affection, Trust, and Tension.
• Levels and ranges: Each stat is divided into 5 levels, and you can set numeric ranges to show how relationships change according to the conversation.

Step 5: Events and advanced features (optional)

You can set "hidden elements" that make your story richer. This is not required, so use it only if you want.

You can add advanced direction elements that make conversations more interesting, such as events that occur when certain conditions are met.

Step 6: Detailed info and visibility settings (required)

This is the final review step before publishing your story.

• Story description: Write a text description that will be shown on the introduction page. (This is not reflected in the conversation prompt.)
• User age: If your story includes mature-only content, you must set this to "Adult".
• Main audience: Choose among Female favorites / Male favorites / All.
• Category: Choose among Romance / BL / GL / Fan works / Other.
• Tags: Enter up to 5 keywords that help users find your story in search.
• Visibility: Choose Public or Private.
