Actions Taken for Policy Violations
If there is a risk of violating, or an actual violation of, the content policy, the following actions will be taken depending on the severity.
Step 1 – Policy Guidance
If content appears to potentially violate the Character·Story content policy, or a valid report related to it is received, we will provide examples of major violations and recommend that the user directly modify the character’s violating content via service notifications and email.
-
Major examples of violations subject to policy guidance are as follows.
Characters·stories whose featured image is set to an image with exposed body parts
Characters·stories that include images and prompts close to pornography
Characters·stories that include images and prompts of sexual acts, use of masturbation devices, fetishism, or other content for sexual gratification
Characters·stories that include violent images intended to shock or cause disgust
Characters·stories that include explicit or gross images with blood or gory scenes
Cases where characters·stories with the same content are created continuously or maliciously in a way that harms the user experience
Step 2 – Cancellation of Character·Story Creation
If, even after Step 1 policy guidance, the character·story is kept without modification, or if the character·story constitutes a critical violation of the content policy, it will be subject to cancellation of creation. Characters whose creation has been canceled can be found in [Studio] > [Character Management] or [Story Management] using the “Temporarily saved” filter.
-
Major examples of violations subject to character·story suspension are as follows.
Cases where a mature character·story (including all viewable information such as images, prompts, descriptions, etc.) is created as all-ages
Cases where a character·story is created as mature but includes elements that may be judged as violating the content policy (e.g., uncensored depictions of genitals)
Cases where elements that may be judged as violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse (e.g., sexual depictions of children·juveniles) are included
Cases where reports are repeatedly accumulated for crime depictions, glorification of violence, incitement of discrimination, etc.
Fan creations that are not created under the fan creation category
Step 3 – Permanent Cancellation of Character·Story Creation
If, even after the Step 1 and Step 2 policy guidance, the character is kept without modification, or if the character·story constitutes a critical violation of the content policy, it will be subject to permanent cancellation of creation.
-
Major examples of violations subject to character·story suspension are as follows.
Cases where a character·story is created without addressing the issues after receiving Step 1–2 actions
Cases where a mature character·story (including all viewable information such as images, prompts, descriptions, etc.) is repeatedly created as an all-ages character·story
Cases where a character·story is created as mature and repeatedly includes elements that may be judged as violating the Character·Story content policy (e.g., uncensored depictions of genitals)
Characters·stories that strongly include elements that may be judged as violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse (e.g., sexual depictions of children·juveniles)
Characters·stories where reports are repeatedly accumulated for crime depictions, glorification of violence, incitement of discrimination, etc.
Fan creation characters·stories that are not created under the fan creation category
Step 4 – Channel Suspension
If, even after Steps 1–3, the Character Talk content policy is repeatedly violated or violations are equivalent in severity, the channel in question will be suspended.
-
Major examples of violations subject to channel suspension are as follows.
Cases where, despite having received Steps 1–3, the user repeatedly engages in conduct that violates POSTYPE policies, Terms of Service, or applicable laws
Continuous creation of characters·stories that may be judged as violating the Character Talk content policy
Continuous creation of characters·stories that clearly infringe copyright
Other violations of laws (such as trading personal information)
Step 5 – Account Suspension
Users who habitually violate the content policy or cause serious damage to the service environment will have their accounts blocked. All channels under that account will be suspended, revenue payments will be stopped, and the company may reclaim past revenue and charge fees. You will not be able to log in with a blocked account, and POSTYPE cannot be used under the same legal identity.
-
Major examples of violations subject to account suspension are as follows.
Habitual creation of characters·stories that impair the environment for users to enjoy content
Habitual creation of mature characters·stories as all-ages characters·stories
Habitual creation of mature characters·stories that include elements which may be judged as obscene materials (e.g., genital depictions where the outline can be clearly identified)
Habitual creation of characters·stories that include elements which may be judged as violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse (e.g., sexual depictions of children·juveniles)
Habitual creation of characters·stories that include other crimes and illegal information, hate speech, etc.
Habitual creation of fan creation characters·stories that are not created under the fan creation category
Other cases where the Character Talk content policy is habitually violated or serious damage is caused to the service environment
The more often reports are received or policy violations are repeated, the higher the level of action that will be applied. In cases of policy abuse or fraudulent use of the service, higher-level actions may be applied without accumulation of prior steps. If you need to provide an explanation or confirmation regarding an action taken, you can contact us through the Help Center. However, channels and accounts confirmed to be in violation of the policy cannot be restored for any reason.
