What Consumer Relief Means

POSTYPE is a content transaction intermediary platform that only operates and provides a system for transactions between members. Responsibility for transactions concluded between members lies with the members themselves, and mutual agreement between the parties is the basic principle. However, if the parties cannot reach an amicable agreement on damages or disadvantages that occurred during a transaction, they may apply for mediation to an external “dispute mediation body (institution that receives applications for consumer relief)” to seek consumer relief. Once the mediation procedure is completed, POSTYPE fulfills its responsibility by carrying out any costs and other obligations in accordance with the result.

If the parties do not accept the mediation committee’s proposal, or if the committee is unable to present a mediation plan during the mediation session, the dispute may remain unresolved. In such cases, the parties may proceed with arbitration through an arbitration body, request an investigation through investigative authorities, or file a lawsuit in court.

Internal Consumer Relief Procedure

POSTYPE is not a dispute mediation body. If you need to reach an agreement with the other party regarding damages or disadvantages that occurred during a transaction, please seek assistance from an external dispute mediation body (institution that receives applications for consumer relief). However, if the damage is objectively clear and there is no room for disagreement, we will refund the purchase points according to the procedure below.

Consumer Relief Procedure

• Go to [Purchase/Support History] > [...] > [Apply for Consumer Relief], fill in the form with the required information, and then click the “Submit” button.
• You can apply for consumer relief only for post purchases that were made less than 3 hours ago.
• Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed by the person in charge, and the result will be sent to the email address associated with your account within up to 4 business days.

Cases Excluded from Consumer Relief. In These Situations, We Recommend Arbitration, Investigation by Authorities, or Litigation in Court.

• When the applicant’s claims cannot be substantiated
• When the damage cannot be verified
• When the applicant has intentionally caused the problematic situation or attempted to obtain unfair benefit
• When consumer relief is not possible under relevant laws or terms of service

This body handles consumer counseling and consumer relief services for all disputes arising from electronic documents and electronic transactions between individuals.

Consumer Relief Procedure

Once a dispute mediation application is received, the committee conducts a fact-finding investigation and recommends an agreement to both parties in accordance with related laws and regulations. If no agreement is reached, a mediation proposal will be drafted within 45 days from the date of application. If both parties accept the mediation proposal within 15 days, a mediation record with the same effect as a judicial settlement will be prepared and sent.

If you submit the mediation record and your identity verification documents through POSTYPE Consumer Relief Submission, POSTYPE will fulfill the costs and other obligations specified in the mediation proposal within up to 5 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays).

2. Content Dispute Mediation Committee

This body handles consumer counseling and consumer relief services for disputes arising from content transactions and usage between individuals, including the formation and performance of contracts and liability issues related to content transactions.
