How can I check the rules of an open channel?

Where can I find my post after it has been unpublished from an open channel?

Even if a post you wrote in an open channel is unpublished by the moderators, you can still view your post through the path below.

  • Open channel home > More button next to profile > Channel drawer

  • If you are no longer participating in the open channel, you cannot republish the post. 

Also, if the open channel itself has been deleted, it is currently difficult to check posts that were published in that channel. We plan to improve this soon so that you can still view posts you wrote even after a channel has been deleted. 

 

 

Who owns the copyright to posts made in an open channel?

The copyright to every post belongs to the creator who wrote the post. The copyright to reposted or quoted content also belongs to the creator of the original post.

 

Can moderators of an open channel view paid posts in the channel without making a payment?

Yes. For smooth channel management, the channel owner and managers can view paid posts published in the open channel they operate without making a separate payment. However, in the following cases, a separate payment is required to view the content:

  • When a post published in another channel is reposted

  • When a post published in another channel is quoted

    • Within a quote post, sections written by participants of the channel can be viewed without a payment, but you must make a separate payment to view the quoted post from another channel.

 

How can I access a secret channel?

Secret channels are not exposed in search, recommendations, or other discovery areas in the service in order to protect the privacy of the channel owner and participants. Please keep the following in mind when using a secret channel.

Access and exposure restrictions

  • Because secret channels are not searchable within the service, only users who know the channel's direct URL can access it.

Content protection

  • If a non-participant who has not joined the channel accesses it, all areas including channel information and posts will be hidden, and they will not be able to view the content.

How to participate

  • If you want to participate in a secret channel, ask the channel owner to share the URL directly with you, then proceed to submit a participation application.

 

What are the fees for post sales and support in an open channel?

Posts published in an open channel

  • A flat 30% fee is applied to sales and support revenue. No additional discovery fee is charged.

When a creator channel post is sold via an open channel

  • Open channels are part of the "discovery" area within the service. Therefore, when a post from your creator channel is sold through an open channel, a total 30% fee applies, which includes a 17% discovery fee.

 

What happens to an open channel if the channel owner's profile is deleted?

If the channel owner's profile is deleted, the account is deleted, or the user receives a level 5 account block that leaves the open channel without a channel owner, the channel owner role will be delegated in the order below.

  • If there is at least one manager in the channel

    • The manager who was appointed the earliest will automatically receive the channel owner role.

  • If there are no managers in the channel

    • The participant who joined the earliest will automatically receive the channel owner role.

POSTYPE respects the autonomy of open channel operations and follows the principle of not directly intervening in how they are run. If you currently have channel owner authority but find it difficult to manage the channel yourself, we recommend delegating that authority to another trusted user so that the channel can continue to stay active.
