How can I check the rules for an open channel?

• PC: Open channel home > More icon next to the profile > Channel rules
• Mobile: While scrolling, tap the icon at the top right of the screen > In the right sidebar, tap the more icon next to the profile > Channel rules

If a channel has no rules, a message saying "This channel has no rules" will be displayed.

How are reports about posts in an open channel handled?

• POSTYPE channels are autonomously operated by users and serve as spaces where unique fan cultures are formed. 

• All reports about content within a channel are reviewed and handled directly by that channel’s moderators. If you have questions about, or wish to contest, a moderation action taken in a channel, please contact the moderators directly.

Where can I find my post after its publication is canceled in an open channel?

Even after a post you wrote in an open channel has its publication canceled by the moderators, you can still view your own post through the path below.

• Open channel home > More button next to the profile > [Channel drawer]

• If you are no longer participating in the open channel, you cannot republish the post. 

Also, if the open channel itself has been deleted, it is currently difficult to view posts that were published in that channel. We plan to improve this soon so that you can still view posts you wrote even after the channel is deleted. 

Who owns the copyright to posts written in an open channel?

The copyright to every post belongs to the creator who wrote that post. The copyright for content that is reposted or quoted also belongs to the creator of the original post.

Can moderators of an open channel view paid posts in the channel without making a payment?

Yes. For smooth channel management, the channel host and managers can view paid posts that are published in the open channel they operate without making a separate payment. However, in the following cases, a separate payment is required to view the content.

• When a post published in another channel is reposted

• When a post published in another channel is quoted

  • Within a quote post, areas written by participants of the channel can be viewed without a payment, but you must make a separate payment to view the quoted post from another channel.

How can I access a private channel?

Private channels are not exposed in in-service search, recommendations, or other discovery areas, in order to protect the privacy of the channel host and participants. Please keep the following in mind when using a private channel.

Access and discovery restrictions

• Because it is not searchable within the service, only users who know the channel’s direct URL can access it.

Content protection

• If a non-participant who has not joined the channel accesses it, all areas including channel information and posts will be blurred out and they will not be able to see any content.

How to join

• If you want to join a private channel, please obtain the URL directly from the channel host and then submit a join request.

What are the fees for post sales and support in an open channel?

Posts published in an open channel

• A flat 30% fee is applied to sales and support revenue. No additional discovery fee is charged.

When a creator channel post is sold through an open channel

• Open channels are part of the “discovery area” within the service. Therefore, when a post from your creator channel is sold through an open channel, a total fee of 30% applies, which includes a 17% discovery fee.

What happens to an open channel if the channel host deletes their profile?

If the channel host user deletes their profile, deletes their account, or receives a level 5 account block that leaves the open channel without a host, the channel host permission will be delegated in the following order.

• If there is at least one manager in the channel

  • The manager who was appointed earliest will automatically be delegated the channel host permission.

• If there are no managers in the channel

  • The participant who joined the channel earliest will automatically be delegated the channel host permission.

POSTYPE respects the autonomy of open channel operation and, as a principle, does not directly intervene in channel management. If you currently hold the channel host permission but find it difficult to manage the channel yourself, we recommend delegating that permission to another trusted user so the channel can continue to operate smoothly.
