Open channel policy

POSTYPE open channels are autonomous community spaces where users with shared interests can freely exchange opinions and share creations. To maintain a safe and enjoyable community environment for everyone, please make sure to check the operating policy below.

Operating principles

• Open channels are spaces where users themselves run the channel and cultivate a unique fan culture.

• All areas of an open channel (posts, comments, notices, etc.) are subject to POSTYPE’s content policy.

• Channel-specific rules set by the moderators cannot take precedence over POSTYPE’s content policy or applicable laws. If any rule conflicts with them, use of the channel may be restricted.

Open channel content guidelines

• All content in open channels must not violate POSTYPE’s content policy. If content that violates the content policy is posted, including mature content not marked as mature, pornography, etc., actions such as unpublishing without prior notice and closing the channel may be taken. For details, please refer to the POSTYPE content policy and community guidelines.

• Channels that mainly deal with harmful media to minors as defined by the Youth Protection Act, such as tobacco or drugs, may immediately be subject to the following actions.

  • Age restriction for joining and forced removal of underage users

  • Limiting exposure in discovery areas within the service (search, recommendations, etc.)

  • However, mature content and harmful media to minors are separate concepts, and open channels where typical mature content is published are not covered by this item.

Moderators’ permissions and responsibilities

• Moderators have the permission to mediate and manage disputes within the channel, such as deleting posts or blocking users, in accordance with the channel rules.

• To enable smooth content management and dispute resolution, moderators can view paid posts published in the channel without making separate payments.

  • However, if a post published in another channel is quoted or reposted, a separate payment is required.

• When a report is submitted regarding content within the channel, the open channel moderators must review it themselves and take action in accordance with the policy.

Disputes and transactions within open channels

• Open channels are spaces operated autonomously by users. POSTYPE only operates and provides systems to support smooth community activity and does not act on behalf of users. In accordance with the Terms of Use, disputes between users within a channel should primarily be resolved through direct communication and agreement between the parties.

• As a rule, actions and operational decisions taken by moderators in the course of managing the channel should be resolved through clarification between the moderators and the users involved.

  • If you object to a moderator’s action, please communicate your opinion directly to the moderators and seek clarification.

• Moderators do not act on behalf of members in transactions within the channel. All transactions that occur between members are carried out at the judgment and responsibility of the parties to the transaction, in accordance with the Terms of Use.

Reporting rights-infringing posts within open channels

• In principle, content within open channels that violates the content policy or applicable laws is handled by the open channel moderators.
• However, if clear rights-infringing posts remain unaddressed for an extended period, please contact the POSTYPE Rights Infringement Report Center.

Restrictions and actions

POSTYPE may limit or revoke moderators’ permissions and take actions such as closing the channel in the following cases.

• If it is determined that serious damage has been caused to users due to abuse of moderators’ permissions

• If it is confirmed that moderators have systematically encouraged or concealed fraudulent transactions

• If the channel rules or activities repeatedly violate applicable laws or POSTYPE policies
