Open channel policy

POSTYPE open channels are autonomous community spaces where users with shared interests can freely exchange opinions and share creative works. Please make sure to read the operating policy below to help maintain a safe and enjoyable community environment for everyone.

Operating principles

• Open channels are spaces where users themselves run channels and develop their own fan cultures.

• All areas of an open channel (posts, comments, notices, etc.) are subject to POSTYPE's content policy.

• Channel-specific rules set by moderators cannot take precedence over POSTYPE's content policy or applicable laws. If any rules violate them, use of the channel may be restricted.

Open channel content guidelines

• All content in open channels must not violate POSTYPE's content policy. If content that violates the content policy is posted, including mature content that is not marked as mature, pornography, etc., actions such as cancellation of publication and channel closure may be taken without prior notice. For details, please refer to the POSTYPE content policy and the community guidelines.

• Channels that mainly focus on youth-harmful media as defined by the Youth Protection Act, such as tobacco or drugs, may be subject to the following actions immediately.

  • Age restrictions for joining and forced removal of underage users

  • Restrictions on exposure in discovery areas within the service (search, recommendations, etc.)

  • However, mature content and youth-harmful media are separate categories, so open channels where ordinary mature content is published do not fall under this item.

Authority and responsibilities of moderators

• Moderators have the authority to mediate and manage disputes within the channel, such as deleting posts or blocking users according to the channel rules.

• For efficient content management and dispute mediation, moderators can view paid posts published in the channel without a separate payment.

  • However, if a post published in another channel is quoted or reposted, a separate payment is required.

• When a report is submitted about content in a channel, the open channel moderators must review it directly and take action in accordance with the policy.

Disputes and transactions in open channels

• Open channels are spaces autonomously operated by users. POSTYPE only operates and provides systems to support smooth community activities, and does not act on behalf of users. In principle, disputes between users that arise within channels should be resolved primarily through direct communication between the parties, in accordance with the Terms of Use.

• As a rule, actions and operational decisions made by moderators in the course of channel management should be resolved through clarification between the moderators and the users.

  • If you object to a moderator's action, please present your opinion directly to the moderator and seek clarification.

• Moderators do not act on behalf of members in transactions conducted within channels. All transactions between members are carried out at the judgment and responsibility of the parties to the transaction, in accordance with the Terms of Use.

Reporting rights-infringing content in open channels

• In principle, content that violates the content policy or laws within open channels is handled by the open channel moderators.
• However, if clear rights-infringing content is not handled despite repeated issues, please submit an inquiry to the POSTYPE Rights Infringement Report Center.

Restrictions and actions

POSTYPE may limit or revoke the authority of moderators and may take actions such as channel closure in the following cases:

• When it is determined that users have suffered serious harm due to abuse of authority by moderators

• When it is confirmed that moderators have systematically encouraged or concealed fraudulent transactions

• When channel rules or activities continuously violate applicable laws or POSTYPE policies
