What is a withdrawal fee?

When you withdraw the revenue you earned on POSTYPE as cash, a withdrawal fee is charged as a platform usage fee. The withdrawal fee is made up of two types of fees.

• Base fee: A fee that is basically charged depending on the type of revenue.
• Discovery fee: An additional fee charged when a post is sold through discovery features (main feed, recommended posts, search results, Open Channel, etc.).
• On top of the above fees, 10% of the withdrawal fee is charged as value-added tax (VAT) on the fee.
• Character Talk revenue is subject to 3.3% income tax.

What is the base fee for each type of revenue?

The base fee for each type of revenue is as follows.

• Creator channel post sales·sponsorship: 13%
• Open Channel post sales·sponsorship: 30% 
• Membership recurring sponsorship: 13%
• Request sponsorship: 13%
• Request sales: 10%
• Character Talk revenue payout: As separately announced

What is a discovery fee?

• When a post is sold through discovery features such as the main feed, search results, recommended posts, or Open Channel, 17% of the post sales revenue is charged as a discovery fee. Discovery features

When a discovery fee is charged

• If a reader buys a post, and within the last 72 hours at the time of purchase there is a record that they accessed the channel through a discovery feature such as the main feed, recommended posts, search results, or Open Channel

When a discovery fee is not charged

• When a post is sold through channels other than discovery, such as subscription feeds, user collections, or direct URL sharing
• When revenue other than post sales (such as membership recurring sponsorship or request sales) is generated, even if the reader did come in through a discovery feature
• When a post is published directly in an Open Channel

What is value-added tax (VAT)?

• VAT is a tax levied at a fixed rate (10%) on the value newly added at each stage where goods or services are produced or distributed, in accordance with tax law.
• For withdrawal fees arising from transactions between POSTYPE and creators, 10% of the fee amount is additionally charged as VAT.

What is income tax?

• Income tax is a tax that the payer withholds in advance when income is generated and pays to the government, in accordance with tax law.

• When Character Talk revenue is paid out, 3.3% of your final revenue (3% income tax + 0.3% local income tax) is withheld at source.

Others

For transactions made before May 2025, the discovery fee is not charged, and the following base fees apply.
