What is multilingual translation?
- To help overseas readers easily enjoy your content, Postype provides an AI-based multilingual translation feature.
- Based on each reader’s language setting, Postype’s interface is automatically translated and displayed.
- Translation is currently applied to the Postype interface (menus, buttons, etc.) and to some post titles and bodies, and we are gradually expanding its coverage.
Change your translation language
Readers can change the translation language they see at any time.
Set the translation language in the app
- Go to [My Menu] > [Account] > [Settings].
- Select the language you want to display.
- Once selected, the new language will be immediately applied to the entire Postype interface.
Set the translation language in a web browser
- Go to [My Menu] > [Settings].
- Select the language you want to display.
- After selecting, click the “Save changes” button and the new language will be applied to the entire Postype interface.
Using the original/translation toggle for each post
- Each post is automatically translated and displayed in the reader’s selected translation language.
- If you want to view the original text, you can switch at any time using the toggle button at the top of the post. This toggle button only appears when your language setting is different from the default (the original language).
- Click the “View original” toggle button at the top of the post to check the original content at any time.
About translation accuracy
- Postype’s translations are automatically generated by a generative AI service.
- Due to the nature of machine translation, there may be the following limitations.
- The original tone, context, and emotional nuance may not be conveyed accurately.
- Proper nouns, newly coined words, or setting-specific terms in works may be translated into meanings different from the original intent.
- Even the same sentence may yield different results depending on when it is translated.
- Therefore, Postype does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of translation results and is not responsible for any misunderstandings or losses caused by the translations.
- For the exact meaning, be sure to switch to the original content using the “View original” toggle button.
Notes
- The translation feature does not change the original text written by the creator.
- The coverage of translation will be expanded gradually, and not all posts are automatically translated yet.
- The creator who wrote the original text is responsible for the content itself, and the translated version is also subject to the original Content Policy and Community Guidelines.
