What is multilingual translation?

  • To help overseas readers easily read posts, POSTYPE provides a multilingual translation feature based on AI translation.
  • The POSTYPE interface is automatically translated and displayed according to the language set by each reader.
  • Translation is currently applied to the POSTYPE interface (menus, buttons, etc.) and to the titles and content of some posts, and we are gradually expanding the coverage.

Changing the translation language

Readers can change the translation language they see at any time.

Set the translation language in the app

  1. Go to [My menu] > [Account] > [Settings].
  2. Select the language you want to display.
  3. Once selected, the language change is immediately applied to the entire POSTYPE interface.

Set the translation language in a web browser

  • Go to [My menu] > [Settings].
  • Select the language you want to display.
  • After selecting, click the "Save changes" button and the updated language will be applied to the entire POSTYPE interface.

Switching between original and translated text for each post

  • Each post is automatically translated into the reader’s selected translation language and displayed.
  • If you want to see the original text, you can switch at any time using the toggle button at the top of the post. This toggle button appears only when your language setting is something other than the default (view original).
  • Click the "View original" toggle button at the top of the post to check the original text at any time.

Notes on translation accuracy

  • POSTYPE translations are automatically generated by a generative AI service.
  • Due to the nature of machine translation, there may be the following limitations.
    • The tone, context, and emotional nuance of the original text may not be conveyed accurately.
    • Proper nouns, neologisms, and setting-specific terms in works may be translated into meanings that differ from the original intent.
    • Even for the same sentence, different results may be produced depending on when the translation is generated.
  • Therefore, POSTYPE does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the translation results, and is not responsible for any misunderstandings or losses arising from the translations.
  • For the precise meaning, be sure to switch to the original content via the "View original" toggle button and confirm there.

  • The translation feature does not change the original text written by creators.
  • The scope of translation will be expanded gradually, and not all posts are automatically translated at this time.
