Multilingual translation support (Japanese)

What is multilingual translation?

• POSTYPE provides an AI-based multilingual translation feature so that readers overseas can comfortably read posts.
• The POSTYPE interface is automatically translated and displayed according to the language set by each reader.
• Currently, translation is applied to POSTYPE’s UI (menus, buttons, etc.) and to the titles and bodies of some posts, and the coverage is being gradually expanded.

Change the translation language

Readers can change the display language for translation themselves.

Set the translation language in the app

1. Go to [My menu] > [Account] > [Settings].
2. Select the language you want to display.
3. As soon as you select it, the changed language is applied across the entire POSTYPE interface.

Set the translation language in a web browser

• Go to [My menu] > [Settings].
• Select the language you want to display.
• After selecting, click the “Save changes” button and the changed language will be applied across the entire POSTYPE interface.

Use the original/translation toggle per post

• Each post is automatically translated and displayed in the translation language set by the reader.
• If you want to see the original text, you can switch anytime using the toggle at the top of the post. The toggle appears when your language setting is something other than the default (display in original language).
• By clicking the “Show original” toggle at the top of the post, you can check the original text at any time.

About translation accuracy

• POSTYPE translations are automatically generated through generative AI services.
• Due to the nature of machine translation, the following limitations may occur.
  • The nuance, context, and emotional expressions of the original text may not be conveyed accurately.
  • Proper nouns, newly coined words, and setting-specific terms in a work may be translated in ways that differ from the creator’s intent.
  • Even for the same sentence, the result may differ depending on when it is translated.
• Therefore, POSTYPE does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of translation results and is not responsible for any misunderstandings or damages arising from the translations.
• For the exact meaning, always switch to the “Show original” toggle and check the original content.

Notes

• The translation feature does not change the original text created by the creator.
• The scope of content covered by translation will be gradually expanded, and not all posts are automatically translated at this time.
• Responsibility for the content itself lies with the creator who wrote the original text, and the translated version is also subject to the original content policy and community guidelines.
