What is multilingual translation?

  • POSTYPE provides an AI translation-based multilingual translation feature so that overseas readers can comfortably enjoy reading posts.
  • Based on the language set by the reader, the POSTYPE interface is automatically translated and displayed.
  • Currently, translation is applied to the POSTYPE UI (menus, buttons, etc.) and to the titles and bodies of some posts, and the coverage is being expanded step by step.

 

Changing the translation language

Readers can change the language in which translations are displayed themselves.

Setting the translation language in the app

  1. Go to [My menu] > [Account] > [“Settings”].
  2. Select the language you want to display.
  3. As soon as you select it, the changed language is applied throughout the POSTYPE interface.

Setting the translation language in a web browser

  • Go to [My menu] > [“Settings”].
  • Select the language you want to display.
  • After selecting, click the “Save changes” button and the changed language will be applied throughout the POSTYPE interface.

 

Using the original/translation toggle for each post

  • Each post is automatically translated and displayed according to the translation language set by the reader.
  • If you want to see the original text, you can switch at any time using the toggle at the top of the post. The toggle is displayed when the language setting is set to anything other than the default (displaying the original text).
  • By clicking the “Show original” toggle at the top of the post, you can check the original text at any time.

About translation accuracy

  • POSTYPE translations are automatically generated through generative AI services.
  • Due to the nature of machine translation, the following limitations may occur:
    • The nuances, context, and emotional expressions of the original text may not be conveyed accurately.
    • Proper nouns, neologisms, or in-universe terms used in works may be translated in ways that differ from the author’s intent.
    • Even for the same sentence, the translation result may differ depending on the point in time when it is translated.
  • Therefore, POSTYPE does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of translation results, and is not responsible for any misunderstandings or damages arising from translations.
