Guide to Creating a CharacterTalk Character

In POSTYPE CharacterTalk, you can create an AI character with its own persona. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you create an engaging character.

Step 1: Set Basic Character Information

This step determines the first impression of your character that users will see on the Explore page.

• Name: Set your character’s name.

• Main image: Upload the image that will represent your character’s face.

• One-line introduction: Write a short phrase that best expresses your character’s identity.

Step 2: Write the Intro and Conversation Examples

This is an important step where you teach the character how to greet users and how it speaks.

• Intro (first line): Write the first line your character will say when a user enters the chat room.

  • Tip: If you enter {{user}}, it will automatically be converted to the name set by the user.

  • Tip: Along with the line, you can include stage directions or situational descriptions like *smiles shyly* to increase immersion.

• Conversation examples: Write examples of how your character would actually talk.

  • The AI learns the character’s speaking style, tone, and way of responding from these examples. The more concrete the examples, the more vivid your character will be.

Step 3: Set the Prompt (Personality and Worldbuilding)

This is where you build your character’s personality, values, and worldview.

• Write the prompt: Freely describe your character’s personality, appearance, backstory, relationship with the user, and more. (Up to 3,000 characters)

• Auto-complete feature: Try using the feature where the AI suggests a suitable prompt based on the intro and examples you’ve already written.

Step 4: Additional Features (Situational Images and Passwords)

You can set “hidden elements” that make conversations even more interesting.

• Situational images (illustration unlocks): Register special images that will be shown to users when certain conditions are met.

  • Unlock hint: When the image is locked, write a hint phrase that will be shown to users to spark their curiosity.

• Password keywords: This feature lets you set specific words (passwords) that, when spoken by the user, trigger a predetermined reaction from the character (lines or actions). You can use this like an Easter egg to add hidden fun.

Step 5: Detailed Info and Visibility Settings

This is the final check before publishing your character.

• Target and category: Set the target as Female-oriented/Male-oriented/All, and choose a genre such as Romance/Fantasy/BL/GL.

• Tags: Enter keywords that help with search.

• User age group: If your character includes adults-only content, you must set it to “Adult users.”

• Fan creation: If it is a derivative work based on an existing original, you must agree to the fan creation guidelines.
