Community board viewing/posting permissions

In [Studio] > [Community] > [Edit board], you can set community board permissions at 4 levels.

• Creators can set different viewing/posting permissions for each board.
• Users with permission can view the board and write posts.
• If a user loses their permission, they can no longer edit their existing posts and can only delete them.
• Comment boards follow in-channel [Comments/sponsorship] permissions, not community board permissions.

• Channel owner and team members
  • For regular channels, only the channel owner can write posts.
  • For team channels, only the channel owner, admin, editor, and contributor can write posts.
    • If you leave a team channel, you can no longer write posts.
  • All users can view posts written on these boards.

• Membership subscribers
  • Users who are subscribed to a membership plan in the channel can write posts.
    • When the membership sponsorship period ends, they can no longer view or write posts.
  • Posts written on these boards can only be viewed by the channel owner and membership subscribers.
    • For team channels, the channel owner, admin, editor, contributor, and membership subscribers can view the posts.

• Subscribers
  • Users who subscribe to the channel can write posts with that profile.
    • If they unsubscribe, they can no longer view or write posts.
  • Posts written on these boards can only be viewed by the channel owner and subscribers.

• Logged-in users
  • Any logged-in user can write posts.
  • All users can view posts written on these boards.
