In POSTYPE open channels, you can share posts you enjoyed or requests from highly skilled creators with other users in real time. Share directly to an open channel to show your own tastes and share the experience with others.
Repost
A repost lets you bring original content that left an impression on you directly into the open channel feed and share it as is.
- Along with information such as "who reposted where," a portion of the original post’s body text and images are displayed.
- Use this when you want to quickly share a creator’s work or recommend it to Contributors in your channel.
Quote
A quote lets you publish your own impressions and opinions together with a link to the original post. You can go beyond simple sharing and add your own thoughts to create new value.
- The author of a quote post can write a separate title and body, and the original request or post is included below in card form.
- Use this when you want to write down your thoughts on a particular post or add your own interpretation. In particular, the quote author can set up a separate paid option for the creative work they add.
Notes
Conditions for viewing the original post
- To view the original content of a reposted or quoted post, you may need to pay an additional amount, join a membership, or have a subscription, depending on the original creator’s settings.
Where you can use the repost/quote features
- Reposts and quotes are features exclusive to open channels. Please note that reposts and quotes are not available in creator channels, which are spaces where creators directly upload their own works.
Reposts/quotes in secret channels
- You are free to repost or quote posts or requests from creator channels and regular open channels into a secret channel.
- However, reposts and quotes to a secret channel are not counted in reaction statistics, and the original creator does not receive a notification when their content is reposted or quoted.
- Also, due to the nature of secret channels, posts created within a secret channel cannot be quoted or reposted.
