Open Channel Policy

POSTYPE Open Channels are autonomous community spaces where users with shared interests can freely exchange opinions and share creative works. Please make sure to read the policy below to help maintain a healthy community environment where everyone can feel safe and enjoy themselves.

Operating Principles

• Open Channels are spaces where users manage the channel themselves and cultivate their own unique fan culture.

• All areas of an Open Channel (posts, comments, announcements, etc.) are subject to POSTYPE’s content policy.

• Channel rules set by the moderators cannot take precedence over POSTYPE’s content policy or applicable laws. If the rules include anything that violates these, the channel’s use may be restricted.

Open Channel Content Guidelines

• All content within an Open Channel must comply with POSTYPE’s content policy. If content that violates the content policy is posted, including adult content that is not set as adult and obscene material, actions such as unpublishing and channel closure may be taken without prior notice. For more details, please refer to the POSTYPE Content Policy and the Community Guidelines.

• Channels that primarily deal with harmful media for minors as defined by the Youth Protection Act, such as cigarettes and drugs, may immediately be subject to the following actions.

  • Age restrictions on joining and forced removal of underage users

  • Limited exposure in discovery areas within the service (search, recommendations, etc.)

  • However, adult content and harmful media for minors are different concepts, and Open Channels where general adult content is published do not fall under this item.

Moderators’ Authority and Responsibilities

• Moderators have the authority to mediate and manage disputes within the channel, such as deleting posts or blocking users in accordance with the channel rules.

• To ensure smooth content management and dispute mediation, moderators can view paid posts published within the channel without making a separate payment.

  • However, if a post published in another channel is quoted or reposted, a separate payment is required.

• When a report is filed regarding content within the channel, Open Channel moderators must directly review it and take action in accordance with the policy.

Disputes and Transactions in Open Channels

• Open Channels are spaces that users operate autonomously. POSTYPE only operates and provides systems for smooth community activities and does not act on behalf of users. In accordance with the Terms of Use, disputes that arise between users within a channel should primarily be resolved through direct communication and agreement between the parties involved.

• As a rule, any actions or operational decisions taken by moderators in the course of managing a channel should be resolved through clarification between the moderators and the users involved.

  • If you object to a moderator’s action, please communicate your opinion directly to the moderator and request an explanation.

• Moderators do not act on behalf of members in transactions within the channel. All transactions carried out between members are conducted at the discretion and responsibility of the parties involved, in accordance with the Terms of Use.

Reporting Infringing Content in Open Channels

• In principle, content within an Open Channel that violates content policy or applicable laws is handled by that Open Channel’s moderators.
• However, if clearly infringing content continues to remain unaddressed, please contact the POSTYPE Rights Infringement Report Center.

Restrictions and Enforcement

POSTYPE may restrict or revoke a moderator’s authority and take actions such as channel closure in the following cases:

• When it is determined that users have suffered serious harm due to abuse of authority by moderators

• When it is confirmed that moderators have systematically encouraged or concealed fraudulent transactions

• When channel rules or activities continuously violate applicable laws and POSTYPE policies
